Dental insurance plans vary greatly. The best way to get a fairly accurate idea of your coverage is to obtain a pamphlet or written statement from your employer or insurance provider. Our office staff can help you interpret this information, but we are not responsible for any inaccuracies in the payment from your provider. Without proper information, much is learned by trial and error.
Whenever possible, our office bills your insurance company electronically or by mail and waits for that payment, while the patient only pays their percentage of the total charge at the time of the treatment is performed. I.e. if the charge is $100 and you have 80% coverage, you pay $20 at the appointment and we bill the insurance for the $80. We are always willing to do this but some plans do not allow it. If the provider will ONLY pay the patient, the patient must pay our office in full at the time of service, and then be reimbursed by the provider.
MAJOR DENTAL WORK
For major dental work, we require a written approval and to obtain this we will send an estimate at no charge, and no commitment by you, to your provider. When we receive a written statement of your treatment allowances, we will also bill the provider for that amount, and you only pay your percentage when the work is complete.
We are newly affiliated with a credit company that will loan money for dental work to our patients. The patient pays this company monthly based on a contract between the patient and finance company.
